Thank you for this. I feel there’s a growing trend/expectation that people think you SHOULD have to FULLY analyze & totally understand someone, to the point you can claim to have basically stood in their shoes, in order to love them.
Something I notice is it’s much much among the younger generation. Learnings I am taking from the older generation is that you stand strong in yourself and you can still meet someone. Your job is not to excavate them
This is why I begged my husband to stop reading marriage books. He was trying to "figure me out" when I was right there, open and available. I told him to just...talk to ME.
Love is scary, which makes sense because life is actually scary (wether we admit it or not)
We cannot exist fully while deceiving ourselves into believing we can protect ourselves more than we actually can.
